Flat seat in 940 900 1995

The driver's seat in my '95 940 wagon is flattened with wear - to the point that it is uncomfortable to sit on for any trip longer than half an hour. Is it possible to buy a new seat (just the part you sit on?) I've read about rebuilding seats, but I don't think I want to get that involved. Thanks

As far as I know, you have to buy the whole seat, not just the seat bottom. I could be mistaken.

The 940 seats can go flat after a while.

You could either buy new foam from the dealership, if it's available. Or a new seat, which probably would be available. Both would be expensive; the new seat will be REALLY expensive. I mean really.

Or you could have an upholstery shop put more foam in the seat to compensate for the flattened quality of it.

Price out a new seat. That's why people rebuild them. I wouldn't be surprised if a new seat is over a thousand. Even two thousand.

You can also see if you might score one from a recycler or a junkyard, although there is no guarantee that it's going to be much better. The dealership seats are expensive because nobody buys brand new seats.
