Big red wire goes to starter terminal
Small red wire goes to the instrument panel. Just make sure it does not have any exposed copper anywhere you can see it.

I do believe the really big red wire goes to the starter. It requires a HUGE current to spin that motor. I'm not sure where the other wire goes as I don't own a 240. When you say you have a blinking problem, do you mean the charging system warning light blinks? Or the interior lights blink? If it's the warning light, then the alternator brushes are likely worn out. For more information, check the FAQ.
