Cold start problem 700 1989

She wont start this morning. It's in the 20's this morning. The fuel pump seems to be making a lot of noise(in the rear). It has a full tank so I dont think I've got water in the line. It cranks and tries to start it just doesnt fire more than one or two cylinders per crank. Any Suggestions?

Look in the FAQs for testing your main pump. Intank pump can fail and still run, main pumps fails, no go. Could be relay, thats in the FAQs also.

It finally started, after cranking about 60 times every 15-30 min or so. Could it be a Choke problem? Does mine have a choke? What would I need to fix if it was a Choke problem?

Where is the FAQ's located at. The FAQ's located at the bottom lead me to a 'how do I post a message' type FAQ'

No Choke - this is an electronically fuel injected model.

It didn't get much warmer from the time I started cranking to the time it finally started. It usually doen't like mornings but I've never had to try as much as I did this morning. Plugs and airfilter are less than 1 year. Wires look good. Quite honestly I dont know much about FI, so perhaps there in lies the problem. I'll try some gas drier tonight but like I said it has a full tank. So I dont believe it had condensation (H2O) in the tank. I'm at a loss. I'm starting to like my 81 245 more and more.
