95 B230 into a 90-240. Any problem?

Will that engine fit my car without to much problem?

Thanks board.

Without thinking too hard, I would say it should work fine, but.... You will have to deal with the rear mount distributor which will interfere with the firewall in the 240. Probably a few other things too, but I am not familiar with the last edition of the B230. Is it a turbo?

I think the solution is to use the current 240 distributor since it is the one w/o the hall sensor, and change the intermediate shaft to one with a drive gear, and use the B230 plugs for the head mount distributor to close that hole. Minor stuff.

Thanks for the reply.

No. Its non turbo.

Im interested in one of the B230s that was tweaked in order to reduce piston slap(longer piston skirts, and some type of extra lubrication). I think its 93-95? Did the 240 get any one of those?

Thanks

Lawrence
