1992 740 Turbo Wagon Radiator 700

I just bought a Modine radiator from carparts.com, shown online to fit my B230FT engine, but when it arrived it was not wide enough (or, not as wide as the radiator currently installed).

What is the problem? Is their catalog wrong, or do I have a weird Volvo?

If you have an AC the stock radiator is wider then in a non-AC car,
but maybe you can still fit the smaller radiator.
In my (swedish) Volvo price list there is also a "740 No AC, tropical" version.
Maybe those were sent to the US?

I've had the same experience. As long as the hoses/lines match up you should be fine. I'm running a smaller radiator in my '93 940 and it's fine. The larger one is nice to have, but I haven't experienced any problems yet. You will have to change the lower mounting bracket.... Not any big deal though. Anyone with a contrary opinion? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck!
