Reliability of a 760 Turbo? 700 1985

Anyone know what sort of reliability I could expect from a 85 760 Turbo?

She has like 217000kms on her, and has the B230ET engine.

I'd be hoping she would be as reliable as my current 76 244, but really I'm not so sure. I'd like to know that the engine at least will hold on another 50000- 100000kms, a turbo rebuild is ok, I can deal with that, but I'm not keen on having to have the engine rebuilt in a years time or something.

Bishop,
I got my 85 760 ti wagon last year. It had 210,000 on it then and I just turned 224000. It has run great! I changed to amsoil and need to find time to install the nivomat conversion to standard shocks in the rear. I love the car, it has really been fun. My dream would be to find a great driver's seat.

I'm hoping I won't have to do a Nivomat conversion, but I think I will probally have to, I need to change the front shocks next week, the left one is totaly blown, and it's hard to tell, but I think one of the rears seems to be bouncing just a little to much.

I kno what you mean about the seat, mine has a bit of a rock to it, and the lumbar support was busted, I can't seem to get rid of the wobble/rock in the seat, but I did manage something very tricky to fix the lumbar support, involving a long metal screw hook and a wooden door knob...

I own a 1988 764 Turbo, 145000 miles. This is a great car, and I think that it has a lot left in it, even though I am running extra boost. Should last you a long time after 217k.

Cool, while having a closer than usual look today, I noticed that it's been fitted with a water cooled turbo at some stage, never noticed it before.
