850 seats in a 740 700

I have a complete set of leather faced seats from a 96 850 just sitting in the garage doing nothing. Is there any way I could mount the front seats in a 740. I know the mounting points are entirely different but......does anyone know of brackets etc which would make it possible. I dont plan to even try the rear swap because they are so different.

You could make some adaprter from flat bar steel. Cut the bar to fit crossways, mark the chassis holes. Then take the bar to the seats and mark the 850 seat frame hole positions. Drill holes and mount. Connect the wires and enjoy. I like my V70 seats, soft and supple.

A good metal fabricator might be able to rig something, but my advise would be to sell your seats and take the money to a salvage yard and just buy some decent 740 seats. They are around; I just pick up a pair of fronts for my '88. I paid $75. Of course, I supplied the labor . . .
