fuel pump signs? 200 1982

My car stumbles like it is running out of gas. It seems to only do it right after I go over a large speed bump. My fuel pump is quite noisy. Already replaced the pre-pump and it has seemed to make the main pump louder? Should I replace it now too?

    try the fuel pressure regulator
    also check the FAQ for 700xx as to few other things to check such as filter, lines, pressure, flow, etc
    I had the same thing, changed the regulator whcih worked well, howerver the fuel pump still makes a little noise so I'm gonna check from the tank forward.
