over rich mixture when cold?(0'F) 200 1984

Ah, isn't it great? five degrees and your car won't run...........
The car starts fine, a couple seconds of crank and then idling nice.
But when put into gear (automatic) it shudders and stalls, then maybe restarts, but runs awful, bumping and coughing, and stalls, then no restart.
I pulled the plugs and they are coated with fuel.
So it's running way rich when cold. This doesn't happen at say 30 deg.
I suspect some sensor telling the computer to be too rich, anyone know where to look or had this problem?

The engine coolant temperature sensor has a hand in this on a normally aspirated car; don't see any of those in your list though you mention computer. Thermo-time sensor/cold start injector and later, the warm-up regulator (CPR) in your turbo.

Sorry you're having to pull plugs in five degree weather.
