I have been quoted 840 quid for the following parts, shipped to my door. Do you think that is a good price from non-dealer Volvo specialist.

2 Engine Mount Hydraulic
1 Turbo Intake Hose AMM to Turbo
1 Intercooler Connection Hose off the inlet elbow
1 Intercooler Hose: Intercooler to Connector Pipe right side
1 Intercooler Hose: Intercooler to Connector Pipe left side
1 Valve Cover Gasket
1 Lower Radiator Hose
1 Expansion Tank Hose
1 Expansion Tank
1 Thermostat + Gasket
1 Oil box
1 Oil cooler
1 Temp sender unit.
1 Heater valve for non-AC car

    If you're going with OE or similar (i.e. not a cheap knock off like ScanTech) you've probably got your money's worth.

    The motor mounts are about $80/ea, the turbo <-> amm hose is at least $150 USD (I had one rude dealer -- McKevitt in Berkeley try and yank my chain for about $230 for that hose) the other hoses are at least $100 USD each. The coolant expansion tank is about $40 used (probably at least 2x that new), the t-stat is about $8 new (2x that from the dealer), the radiator hoses can be expensive (if you've got a water cooled turbo), it really depends on what kinda brand you're getting. But yes, that does seem a bit expensive. Can you get any sort of breakdown on that cost?

    George, to get an idea of the US prices, go to www.fcpgroton.com and www.alloemvolvoparts.com to compare. Most of their stuff is "afetmarket" brands such as Scantech.

      Thanks Steve, they are not more expensive but certainly not cheaper either.
