Please help me identify this part 700

I had a pile of hoses in the car, all removed from the engine. As I was cleaning them out, this thing appeared. Please, it this part important and what is it?

The bits in the pile where:

All turbo hoses on exhaust side
Expansion tank
Expansion hose
Lower radiator hose

My car is a 1988 740 Turbo Intercooler with a watercooled Garrett and B230FT engine.

    Holy Crap im laughing my ass off after reading all those comments lol. anyways i think its the inside of a spark plug cable, sure looks like it, being i have ripped the outside off the connections of mine i know this. good luck on the actually part it is though.

    GET RID OF IT!!! It is the transmitter for aleins to pick you up or at least to make your car run funny!

    I know....its a factory fitted blur!

    look u can see the factory blur on the side of the blur...

        George, this looks remarkably like part of a HT lead, the end that fits onto the spark plug. Pull back the rubber on one of your plug leads and compare (plug end of the lead).

        Ok i was wrong..it isnt a factory fitted blur....but i cantthink what else it is!

        George you sure u havent been slumming it with bmw's again...if so i hope u used protection!
