Aftermarket Rubber Motor Mounts? 700 1989

I found solid rubber motor mounts on the following website
http://catalog.alloemvolvoparts.com

By following the prompts, the site states (and they look like) that they will fit my 89 Turbo wagon. Normally, my car uses the hydraulic mounts.

Has anyone heard about these solid rubber mounts to replace the hydraulic ones?

Had a guy complaining about vibration. Told him he needed motor mounts. He went away. Came back with solid rubber motor mounts complaining of vibration, and called me names. Told him he STILL needed motor mounts. He bought the hydraulic mounts. No more vibration. Moral- the solid ones WILL fit and do what they are designed to do, that is "mount the motor" However, if you don't like vibration, buy the hydraulics.

You can call those guys. They ARE salespeople but many if not all of them have Modified Volvo's of their own. Hopefully they will give you the straight poop on increased Vibration and direct swap out issues.

I see 'em at alloemvolvoparts, but I've never heard of 'em before.
They certainly look right, as opposed to the stock non-hydraulic ones('86 and earlier).
I checked, and the earlier ones are correctly listed and pictured. so maybe they know something we don't.
Let us know if you go for it!

it's not just a simple buy and replace task if you're going from one type of mount to the other. someone asked this a while back and i believe you have to swap out a piece of something or other to do it. sorry i don't have any better informatino than that.

Just a word of warning. I replaced the rubber volvo mounta with aftermarket mounts on my 1983 245. I then spent a lot of energy trying to find out why I felt a lot of engine vibration, until I changed back to real volvo mounts.

Thanks to everyone for their comments. Seems like I should stay with the hydras. I recall reading other posts about them being just 'OK' and folks looking to change to the solid rubber ones. This maybe the case if they were going to Volvo mounts for earlier cars instead of aftermarkets. I know this required different mounts for the mounts. If I go with the aftermarkets, I'll let everyone know. Thanks again!
