O2 sensor problem 900 1994

I suspect my brick has a broken O2 sensor because the gas consumption seems to be increased from 20mpg to 18mpg. If that's really the case would there be any error indicator in the dash that will tell me that I might have problem with the o2 sensor? My other brick s70, has a lamda light to show the problem of the O2 sensor. any similar indicator in the 940 dash?

Any problems with the O2 sensor ought to set a Check Engine light. If yours is on all the time, get the codes read and cleared. If it's not on, make sure that it DOES come on when you turn the key ON but haven't started the car yet. If it NEVER comes on, someone has taken the bulb out or it's burnt out.
Check for codes either way.

Service Engine light is not the same thing - that does not indicate any problems.
