Extremely high idle/temp sensor 200 1990

My 1990 Volvo no longer needs cruise control. I can idle at 47MPH. I get a temp sensor code with my check engine light on.
Question #1 where o where is the temp sensor located?
Question #2 What is the normal cost of the sensor?
Question #3 Will replacing this fix the automatic cruise control(high idle)
Thanks for your help
Jon

The sensor is on the cylinder head, around the #3 piston under the intake manifold.

On this side, you find two sensors, the one closest of the fan is the temp guage sensor (I think it's got a single wire), the other one on the fire wall side is the ETS.

I think it about 20-30 bucks. see fcpgroton.com

Some people can change it without removing the the intake manifold, but I prefer to remove the intake manifold (need new gasket). Also will be a good time to clean the oil trap (need o rings).

Thanks haroon I came I saw and susequently took off the Knock sensor. I figured out I had the wrong sensor counted to the third intake and found the Coolant Temp Sensor. I am not sure why you would want to take the Intake off. I was working outside in a freezing rain and did the job in about 10 minutes with a wooble extension.
Thanks again
Jon
