I just passes 250K yesterday!!! 140-160

Although it isn't on the orig. engine. I just thought it was kind of cool to have a quarter million miles... Runs like a CHARM! (not!)

I was wondering if anyone has removed their brake booster. Mine leaks and so I don't use it. What would I have to do to remove it? Anything in your experienced minds guys/racers?

So does anyone have any experiences with Sumitumo HTR 200s or Kuhmo KH11s???

Peace,
Kyle KLR142

Good deal on the 250K. Keep going, one third million isn't that far away. My guess is that one with overdrive taken care of should go 400K without being opened up. Anyone have an idea how long they will run?

My brake booster is hissing inside until I put my foot on the pedal. Brakes work ok except the first time they are used when the car hasn't been driven for a while. Is there any do it yourself fix to those things? I have another one on the way to replace it but I would like to keep it for a spare.

Revolvstore may have a used booster that'll work.
I understand White Post Restorations in White Post, VA can
rebuild your booster. With the booster, you have some of the
best brakes in the industry so you should get it fixed.

Congrats.
One thing w/ old Volvo. It's a great choice of car for DIY maintenance. As long as it don't rust to pieces first. Mechanically not too complex. Simple and robust. That's why I've gotten back into 'em.

I'm big fan of Yokohama AVS. Bud of mine is big on Kumhos. Check out Falken Azena for outstanding value in performance tire. I'm in the market for spring tires and will be looking into pros/cons of Yokos vs Azenas.

Later,
Al
