My 83 244 turbo floods on start. What should I look for, adjust, or change?

AG - is the cold start injector like coming on and staying on?

When you say flood do you mean just rich or full blown fuel dumpage?

Paul,
the injection turns off, but its definatly fuel dumpage, very wet plugs. Do you have a S. plug reccomendation?
I managed to get it back to my shop, currently working on it, yes I have a Bentlys.

NGK BP6ES or BP7ES

So it's not the cold start injector.

Then I would say fuel pressure problem. CPR is probably ailing. But you'll need to check system pressure and control pressure.

It looks like its the 5th injector, I have to excersize it.

Just for clarification: 5th injector = cold start injector

Above you said it turns off.

But easy enough to test - just don't overtighten the banjo bolt on reassembly. Ask me how I know this.

I got lucky 200 1983

the injector was running once with the ignition off. Ah, a relay problem!
Sure enough, corrotion made a short. I think I'm ok now...thanks.

Could possibly be the impulse relay? Turbos have this relay to pulse the cold start squirter even when it's not cold to improve/help starting, maybe this relay is going psycho on you...
