Slow acceleration below 3K 700 1991

Any ideas on the possible cause for very slow acceleration below 3K rpm, once you pass 3K it feels like a small turbo has kicked in, goes right to redline fine, no other problems.

    vacuum/pressure leak 700 1991

Strange enough, my leak was żn the intake hose from the airfilter/amm to the turbo. You might have to remove the large hose and heck it internally for deterioration/leaks.

another leak was on the compressory bypass valve on my 87 garret turbo, but your 91 shżuld have a mitsu with an integral blowoff valve...if that thing is leaking it won't get better with increased boost!

Still sounds like something is leaking until the compressor makes up for it.

VERY slow? Or just sort of slow? I'm assuming it's NA (no turbo) because you said it's like a small turbo has kicked in. :)

It's pretty slow on my car, but not VERY VERY slow. Perhaps try dumping some fuel cleaner in like Techron and see if that helps.

Also see if you have a knock sensor code.

Mine's pretty slow too. Takes about 11-12 seconds to get from 0-60 on a 740 with 2 passengers.
