aftermarket driving lights 700 1991

i was looking through the pics of other volvo owners cars on this site and noticed a few 740 that did not come equipped driving lights. The owners had installed lights on top of the front bumper just inside the corners of the grill, instead of underneath like they would if they had come factory. Does anyone have any experience installing these on their brick? I'm very interested in adding it to my '91 turbo. any suggestions on lamp type/size? I've attempted anything like this before so any input would be of great help.

Just hit 190k, looks new and still running strong! Long live The Brick!

lights under bumper height are normally fog lights, over bumper height are3 genrally 'spot' lights...

the two types throw different light patterns and should be wired differently...

'spot' lights should come on with high beam...

'fog' lights should come on with low beam only....

of course both sorts should be independantly switchable and wired using relays and seperate fuses...
