So yesterday I noticed one of my rear plate bulbs was non-funtional. I tapped on the holder and it shattered! Turns out the bulb was not even there. It must of popped out while closing the wagon hatch. So I zoomed over to the dealer with a fiver in my hand. $34? for a piece of plastic! I would like to know if anyone has one of these to spare. I'll be happy to buy it off you for a reasonable price. I hate to have things broken on my car. Thanks.

I had to replace the license light assembly for my 740. There are two metal tabs that rusted. The dealer wanted 34$ . fcpgroton had the scantech version for 7 bucks. Same part the dealer showed me. The bulb fits in a little different and the lens is different, volvo introduced a newer style at some point. They may have them for the 200s as well.

I have a few in BGVPD.

How shattered is it? Can you get a new bulb in the housing and get the bulb to stay? I replaced both of my license plate lights and the housings clips broke off.

I ended up using 3M Trim Adhesive to glue them back onto the car. It looks to be pretty well sealed. After pricing those housings individually and searching through yards to find others in the same situation as mine, I decided to opt for the glue method. It's been working well.

My 240 Page

Mine were in pretty good except for the rusted/broken clips. I used clear silicone adhesive for a good seal and clamped it over night. Its been working fine for 2 years.
