Paint in a can 200

Hi all,

Anyone know where i can order Volvo paint for my 82 242 in a spraycan? I know this can be made up custom, just need to find a place to do it. In LA would be prefered.

Thanks,

Just look up paint, body supply, or the like.

Finishmaster and Sherwin Williams are just a couple of the names that come to mind. You'll find a place very close to where you live. And if you don't, I'd be surprised.

ANY shop should be able to mix up a custom color. They can either match it with the color eye or they can just mix it up according to their list. The color eye is pretty good, but not always perfect. A lot depends on the color and the ability to line the repainted area against a gap or trim piece or something.

It IS expensive, about $22+ (+ shipping) for a 12 ounce spray can. This sight is about the cheapest I found. Some wanted $27 for a 12 ouncer. You probably will not get away from that kind of expense for an exact match. Let us know if you find it cheaper.

Find an automotive finish supply store--a dedicated merchant that supplies pro body shops, not an aisle at Pep Boys. They should be able to computer match your paint or match by color code and make you a small batch. You may need to buy a special spray can that is recharged by a cartridge or by compressed air. In a big place like LA, you should have no trouble finding this.
Easy way to find them: call a few indie body shops and ask who their supplier is.
