I posted this question over on AWD/FWD too, but I figure you guys probably have had 10 year airbag services and I guess this really only applies to the 1993 and European 1992 850 models. So I'm wondering if you would know what this involves. Do they replace the airbags? How much?

...and if I still have my '90 in 2 more years, I'll probably just diable the bag.

The 240 is a darn safe car without an airbag.

240 w/o Airbags

I definitely agree, even without airbags the 240 is a very safe car. My friend got into an accident in his '89 240DL w/o Airbags, 65mph into a jersey barrier, he's still here.

In the United States at least, Volvo officially updated this to be a 15 year service schedule.
