removing door panel lights 700 1986

I have an 86 745. I think I burnt a bulb in one of my door panels when I was removing and replacing the panel. I'm afraid with anymore pressure the bulb will break between my fingers. I was thinking about breaking it so I could get a better grip with some pliers. How do i get the bulb out?
Thanks,
Nathan

Nate,
Its pretty easy to pull out the entire assembly giving you full access.
There are two clips which you need to push up(with a small flathead) simulateously. Usually, I do one and then the other hoping the first doesn't pop back into place. Once they are free of the panel you can easily replace the bulb.

Grab a hold of the bulb and then pull straight out - don't twist. You can use your fingers if not use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull (not break the bulb)! Whatever you do don't break the bulb - it will just make it harder to get out.

Tim
