My 91 940 Turbo wagon is idling rough lately, eventhough when I step on the gas it runs smooth. Any thoughts ? And would it be an easy fix for a novice "mechanic" do-it-yourselfer, like me ?

Check the condition of the throttle body (when was it last cleaned?) then check the FAQ's. Other possibilities include plugs, wires & cap/rotor (when was its last tune-up?). Both are easy novice DIY mech. fixes.

My 91 940T sedan was doin the same back in October. Definitely look into the spark plugs+wires. The distributor cap and rotor should be looked at as well. The cap and rotor were the main problems when my car did that.

Thanks rjk and aznmandan83! I guess I did not think of that since it runs smooth after I step on the gas. But I think it is time to change the spark plugs.
