90 B230FT Sensor in Crankcase ventilation hose- how to test/what is it for 700

Anyone know what the sensor in the crancase ventilation hose is for.Pressure sensitive? Turbo engine where hose attaches to large intake hose.

What are test values?

It's a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) resistor. On the 1990 760 wiring diagram, it appears to be wired to the cold start injector. PTC resistors typically have little resistance at colder temps but rapidly build resistance at a pre-set warmer temp. My guess is that the PTC resistor is the mechanism that allows the cold start injector to operate at low temps by opening an electrical ground for the cold start signal.

What sensor are you talking about? It's just a hose that connects to a y and then to a little black box under the intake.

I was wondering the same thing earlier this week. Some kind soul responded and said it was a heater to keep the crankcase vapors from condensing in the intake system.
