Has anyone else noticed that the factory radios seem to suffer poor signal strength in many areas???
Both mine and my fathers Volvos get very poor reception on the factory radios in our 700 seires Volvo.

I thought our 88 had great FM reception, with the factory CR 612 and factory power antenna. Check the grounding ring on the inside of the trunk, they do get rusty and make lousy connection.
I did just replace the head unit with an Alpine CD/AM/FM and it has excellent reception as well.

How is your antenna? My poor reception turned out to be the inner connector to the mast. Now I have rather good reception in my 780.
