cluster problem

Am trying to remove the insturment cluster in a 91 740. I don't seem to have what is described in the FAQ or either I'm too dumb to see it. I don't have a "clock set knob" on the right of the steering wheel as the cluster dimmer and clock set slider are together on the left and I see no way to remove this. What am I doing wrong? There are two slots on the right and left of the cluster itself that seem to be spring loaded when I insert a small screw driver. WOnder if this has anything to do with removal. Thanks in advance

It does; put a screwdriver in the slot and push in on the catch. The metal fascia panel should pop loose. Don't pry or force it. It isn't hard if you do it the right way.
