smokey when in traffic 900 1994

i have a 940 with a turbo whenever i stop in traffic i get very smokey however normal running is fine i have a feeling the problem is turbo orientated but not sure please help

You've got an oil leak and it's getting onto either the exhaust manifold or the header pipe exiting the turbo.
Check valve cover, cam seal, turbo oil return lines, turbo oil filter housing extension seals and make sure your breather tubing is not plugged anywhere.

A good engine degreasing may make it a lot easier to pinpoint the leak.
