fuel pressuer regulator replacement 700

Do I need to depressurize the fuel system to replace the FPR?
If so what is a convenient way?

On my '90 740 turbo, I didn't relieve the pressure at all. I removed the vacumn line from the intake manifold, had a rag ready, and then unbolted and pulled then rgulator. Very little fuel trickled out. That was just my experience though: By all means, read the FAQS for safety's sake.

The FAQ has some techniques. The easiest is to apply a vacuum pump on the end of the FPR. Another way is to pull a fuse and let the pump run down.
