To Swap out York compressor or NOT? 200 1983

Just got a rebuilt York compressor plus the Volvo upgrade retrofit kit for the A/C for my 83 245. should I wait and get the brackets, power steering stuff from the Pick N Pull for the rotary DieselKiki ( I have a used on sitting in a doghouse at Mom's house). Or should I just use the rebuilt York and wait for it to die, then do the swap?

Hello Raidman ... About 5 years ago I upgraded to a rotary compressor and for the first time since my car was new I had COLD air, very cold. Its the best upgrade I've ever done and I live in Florida. Whatever you do replace your expansion valve and consider adjusting (internal adjustment on valve)inwards 3/4 to 1 1/4 turn. In town and traffic my Turbo produces 36*-38* cold air and never before with a York comp. was it even comfortable in town, stop & go driving. I feel a good used rotary is better than a rebuilt York compressor. If you need help Gary at Ggaryboy@aol.com
