Seek victim of overheating (not too long ago on this Forum) caused by blob of goop in cooling pipe in head... 444-544

...or someone who can point me to thread, or pix and info he posted after finding and fixing the problem...I believe it was on this Forum. I tried "search"ing, without luck. Help is appreciated! TNX

Seek victim of overheating (not too long ago on this Forum) caused by blob of goop in cooling pipe in head... 444-544

It has been many years since I owned a B16 powered Pv544. There is a copper (or brass) tube with holes of graduated size which is installed from the front of the B16 head. If I remember correctly you can pull the tube out the front of the head after removing the thermostat housing. Mine had a piece of rubber from a hose stuck in it. That was about 1970.
