Dash lighting q 700 1987

my gauge cluster lights up. My HVAC controls light up.

None of the switch panels light up. Nothing but the above two panels do.

I would guess these are connected at the back of the cluster, 'cuz that's where the rheostat is. Do all these other lights add up to a single broken connection, or do I have major troubleshooting ahead?

Not sure how it is on the older ones, but on my 745, a single bulb lights each row of switches. And both are just plain burned out. :)

As I recall, none of my switch lights worked when I first got my car. Turned out to be burned out bulbs in each switch! I'd check that first.
