Fault in exhaust emission light 900 1995

Hi all, just joined up and here is my question, I have a 960 3ltr estate just tested and serviced by the person i bought the car from.

The exhaust emission fault light is continiually lit on the dash, i'm told the emissions were ok at the test, any ideas as to what it might be?

See the FAQ's to find out how to read the fault codes on your '95 car. I think there is a table of fault codes for the Motronic 1.8 engine control unit there also.

'96 965 with 16' wheels at 102K. Had '85 745 Turbo Diesel for 200K.
