Which model wagon for slow commuting and light duty

I'm looking for a second car to be used for daily commute totally 1 1/4 hrs on back roads, but occasional highway use and very light duty while fixing up a house. Would like to spend only $2-5k.

Using a couple of search keys I haven't found any threads on the basic differences and advantages/disadvantages between the 2/7/900 series but if they are out please let me know. Or if anyoen can summarize the basic differences.

Thanks ahead of time. John

You pays your money and takes your choice.

245 is simpler and more robust.

745 is more complex and more refined.

$2k buys a decent 245 - REAL decent

$5k buys a VERY nice 245 - maybe the best of the breed, or a super 745.
