Update: picture of the windshield washer valve S90-V90 1998

Thanks for helping me locate the windshield washer valve/T Connector. I traced the flow of the washer fluid right from the reservoir to the valve. The fluid is getting to the valve but not going to the nozles. In fact it blows right through the little hole in the middle of that red cap! I removed the valve but was unable to dtermine how this little bastard works. How complicated this could be? Oh well, I guess I need to get a new valve. Going to the dealer tomorrow. The price on the website is pretty god ($3.34) but S&H would probably kill the deal. I will keep you updated. Thanks again.

Raphael

Update: picture of the windshield washer valve - All there is in there is a spring and a rubber disk S90-V90 1998

There are instructions at ozbrick.com to repair the valve. The red top just pops off. The rubber disk either gets gooey and blocks up, or it gets a hole in it.

I repaired two last year with a piece of dishwashing glove and both have worked for a year. The wife never noticed the missing material.

Update: picture of the windshield washer valve S90-V90 1998

Our 91 745T just had the same relief valve go bad. In opening it up it is apparent that the rubber diaphram ruptured. My 90 GLE parts car was equipped with just a normal "T" connector and it works just fine as a replacement.

Update: picture of the windshield washer valve S90-V90 1998

Thanks to all who replied to my posts about the problem with my windshield washer. I got the replacement part (T-connector/valve) from my local dealer for $5.50+tax. (It was cheaper than buying online for $3 and paying $5.00 S&H) I installed it half an hour ago and the the windshield washer is cured! It is strange however: the old valve had a little hole in the middle of the red cap and the fluid was going through this hole instead of going to the nozzles on the hood. The new valve does not have a hole in the middle of the red cap. Is it a new design? (I can not imagine that the little hole in the old valve developed all by itself.)

this is very easy design. valve have small rubber plate, witch halp to keep fluid in hoses, and thanks this you do not have to wait too long for spray on your windshield.

buy new one. chip and makes no sens to repair.
