Finding TDC on all three sprockets after timing belt failure 200 1988

All,

Picked up my parts for the timming belt replacement. Going the whole hog with a belt, tensioner, seals and a water pump.

Since the sprockets are all out of alighment due to the belt failure, what is the best(quickest and/or most reliable) way to get them back in order before putting on the new belt?

Thanks in advance,
/Kevin

On the edge of the Distributor, there is also a mark etched at the position of the #1 plug wire. When the Intermediate Camshaft is lined up correctly, the rotor will point DIRECTLY to this mark.

If you botched the t-belt job and got it a notch or two off, and are really pressed for time and don't feel like removing the crankshaft pulley and lower timing belt cover all over again, it is possible to speed things up by using the Distributor mark to align the intermediate camshaft again...

Don't ask. It was a terrible day, and I don't like to talk about it.

There are notches on the sprockets and marks on the back plastic cover as well as the belt. when you line up the sprockets and the cover marks, there is only one way the belt can be installed so that all marks line up.
Good luck
