780 Engine Knock 700 1987

I have a 1987 780 with 210,000 miles on it. The car has the V-6 in it. It has recently started making a knocking sound (possible rattling?) It doesn't seem to have any particular pattern to it and seems to quite down past 2500 RPM. Pulled off individual plug wires to determine if it was rist pin or piston related.but no change in sound in the knock. The car still has the same power as it had before this little quark. How long do these motors usually last before bearing replacement is needed? Is there anything else I should be looking at that may cause this noise?

WOW, you got 210k on that! I have 155k. What grade of gas do you use? It will knock under 89 octane. I put in 93 personaly. How about your motor mounts? A bushing could be bad, that would make a knock but keep the power. Also you may need to have a valve adjustment,(not cheap). It's to general to ID over the net, can you pinpoint the knock under the hood? Let me know.
