Hi,

yesterday on my way home from the beach was stuck in traffic for long periods of time, anyway at some point on the journey the check engine came on, and there is a when its idling its "rough"..also it doesn't warm up like normal.

ideas suggestions..

May not have self diagnostic unit. Didn't specify year. If '93 w/ original solid state shift-lock relay (unlikely wouldn't have been replaced already), replace. Bad gas w/ crud will also screw up, such as recent delivery to station. Car sitting around w/ near empty tank can also result in excessive condensation. Try a can of gas drier.

Start with reading the on-board diagnostic code. The unit is on the inner fender in front of the driver (in the engine bay). Place the movable pin in in pos 2, then depress the button for 1-3 seconds (I think I am remembering the sequence right) and wait for the flash pattern. That will give teh code representing the component responsible.
