Where can we find body trim clips for 60s 140s ? 140-160 1970

Hello,
My recently aquired '70 145 looks like she's had a paint job sometime in the last 5 years or so.
So the chrome trim was removed and put back on with the origional clips.
Most of the clips didnt seem to like being pulled out and snapped back in, and the trim will fall off the car at random, and embarasing times.

I looked through the body & trim clip collection that IPD has, but didnt see a match. Anyone know if any of those clips will work, or of a source of a clip that will work?

Worse case scenario I can buy a roll of that adhesive backed crome body molding at Pep Boys and call it good.

When you replace the clips in the sheetmetal, unless it's a warm day, they can break pretty easily. A Volvo body man told me long ago that he'd dump them in his hot coffee before installing. I just used hot water, and the break rate dropped dramatically. It also helps if you make a little driver out of a piece of 1"x 1" pine, with the working end drilled 1/8" deep and slightly larger than the clip's pin. No more hammer misses cracking the clip or dinging the body.

Volvo should have them. They are the same as 240 clips through 1980.They can be purchased aftermarket also.Wurth (www.wurthusa.com) has them but you have to have an account, they tack on an $8.95 handling charge per order (fair, unless you just want some moulding clips!).I have a bag with a few hundread of them but I can't put my hands on them now.I know what you mean about mouldings falling off at embarrising times,I stopped on my way to the Davis meet in April to replace moulding clips and reinstall some mouldings at a gas station (waiting to meet other volvo folk)!I'll look around for the big bag of clips in the mean time.I havn't veiwed IPDs clip selection but is it possible you don't recognize it with center not depressed (flush)? It should be a wishbone shape in white with a pin sticking out that can be hammered flush.I found 2 new ones today. When the sun goes down and the coyotes howl I'll snap a picture!
