My Dying 740 700 1989

1989 740 Turbo, automatic w/101,000 miles. When it starts, it will run for a moment then die. When I start is a second time, it will stay running. Lately, it will die while I'm driving it. I'm afraid to drive it now. Any hints as to what it may be? Fuel filter? Fuel pump? Ignition pickup? All of the above? Sell it? Any help would be appreciated.
