Parting out the wagon, who wants free stuff? 200 1984

I know, no ads.. so I'll just list the free stuff just in case someone's in desperate need of this.

Nothing really great, but maybe this will help someone out, I do have a working generic radiator (not pretty, not a perfect fit, but it came with the sedan.. and it doesn't seem to leak), compact spare tire, possibly a Volvo jack, and some of the interior panels from the cargo area (black), same with the little mats that go above the driver front passenger's knees, and the smaller (M46 OD, FPR, high-low beam) relays I know the last two work.. never tried the OD. I probably still have the panels that cover the sides of the HVAC units and passenger's footwell computers in good shape too (black).

None of that stuff is worth shipping, and I'm in the SF Bay Area. Soo.. if you want to pick it up, it's yours. If I ever get this other heap running well, I would probably be willing to deliver for the cost of bridge toll. Otherwise they get lost in my big pile of junk.

Of course, if I succeed in selling all the big ticket items, the carcass will be free to whomever wants to haul it off (it is a nice 245 body with the exception of the #$@ sunroof and hole behind the driver's seat, nothing some minimal POR15 and a few minutes dissecting the sunroof couldn't fix). Not that there's a shortage of 245 bodies out there...

P.S. The goal is to make this thing disappear by the time the insurance is up in early-mid July.

Alex,

I live in San Francisco and could use a headlamp relay. I'll have to check if it will work in an '88. If so can I come pick it up within the next few days?

Thanks,
Bruce

Sure. Just make sure you know which relay you want. Only the 86 and newer 240s used a relay controlled by the light switch. The earlier (75-85) ones had the switch hooked up directly to the lights. But the hi-lo stepping relay works just fine.

Alex,

Your hi-lo relay should swap out with mine perfectly. How can I contact you to pick it up? You can email me at rockwellmusic@hotmail.com

Thanks,
Bruce

I may be interested in some interior parts; I have an 83 GL (Black exterior, tan interior). If you have the knob for the glove box; the "small" clock that fits in the middle of the dash (not a large clock that is in the instrument panel); maybe even a driver's seat if in good condition. Email me directly to further this discussion.

Sorry,I don't need anything from your car.Was wondering why she is being parted out? Is she that bad,is she smashed,or just worn out.Any ways that is a nice gester to part out.

If it has tan or blk, interior.I could use the window knob/roll up arm.

I found a older 245 with the round head lamps, don't know the year of this 245 but it is in good shape, all is there no rust no dents just sitting in a junkyard untouched going to see if the title is good on this car.I can pick this old 245 up for pennys,if title is good.

Well, I just don't have time for her... and she's a lot more work than I realized. I'd like to see the body (or ideally the whole car) go off to someone who's into these cars. It's sure got a personality, and a bit of history too.. but hey.

So I tried to sell her for a profit, no serious offers. So I'm going part her out to (hopefully) break even.. and I might as well give away some stuff that any self-respecting 240 geek will need at one time or another.

The car actually would drive just fine if I taped up the alternator wires (to avoid potential fires)... but the big wire needs to be replaced (currently not charging). There's just so much minor and not so minor stuff that needs to be fixed up, and I don't have the patience to deal with it.
