AMM for Turbo w/o EGR 700

I am trying to fix an idle problems, and consider to replace the AMM with a used one (from a 95' B230FT). My car is 90'740 TIC B230FT w/o EGR. Since I don't know if the "new" AMM came from a B230FT with or w/o EGR (the "new" and the one in my car has the same p/n 280012016), i ask you guys to help me with these question
Is AMM p/n 280012016 can be use in 740Turbo W/O EGR?
If not, then what kind of AMM (p/n)?

Thanks

David

If it's the same number, it's correct. The 016 should be the right AMM for either car. Most cars don't have EGR.
Before you try this, have you inspected your big rubber air hoses for leaks?
And have you cleaned the throttle body? If it's dirty, this contributes to rough idling.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I've been studying the BOSCH bible and it's just amazing now how clear the system is designed and works in harmony - when all the parts are clean and working. Even the BOSCH bible states that the BOSCH engine management system is much more reliable that the electrical wires and connectors. And this book is not just talking about Volvo's but BMW's, Mercedes, VW, etc.

Definately check for intake air leaks - called "false air" by BOSCH. The BOSCH bible also describes how to "inspect and check" the AMM, though, it's not really servicable.
