RPM sensor

Am about to change the heat control valve on a 91 740 and am gona do the RPM sensor while I'm back there. According to the FAQ, it is mounted in a "flimsey bracket" that is very easy to break and you've had a sure enough bad day if you break it to the tune of pulling the tranny tpo fix it. This one looks to just be held in by a single small bolt and I see no bracket holding it. Am I missing something? Surely it can't be this easy but I hope so.

RPM sensor

On my '93 940 the RPM sensor just had the one bolt holding it down... it was easy (as far as those things go) to pull. I'd read about that bracket, too... not sure which cars have it, but glad mine didn't.
