If the car has been properly maintained and no outstanding issues, it should be a good car for you. Consider switching to synthetic oil and tranmission fluid, especially if the tranny has never been changed (ignore the manual). Be absolutely certain that the timing belt has been changed at the proper interval of 30K. I suspect by 93 the OEM interval was 30K (as opposed to 92 where it was increased to 30K with a cam balancer), but I don't think more than that. A broken timing belt is the end of the engine as you know it. The other big issue is suspension. At 145K, it may need new shocks if it doesn't aready have them, These should be equipped with Nivomat self-leveling. You should obtain them aftermarket (FCP Groton) instead of the dealer. 1/2 the still expensive price, but they are great shocks. Good Luck. It's a joy to drive.
