Quick question about replacing the oil pressure sender 200 1987

Bought an oil pressure gaugein ebay. Looked around for a week for the adapter, couldn't find it. Bought it at egauges for $3.76 plus $14 overnight shipping. Trying to put it on right now.

That being said, the sender came with a rubber gasket at the base where it mounts to the block. The old idiot light sender had a copper gasket. The copper gasket can't be removed. Can i use the rubber gasket? or do i need to find a last minute replacement?

Mike

I just bought one of those too. However it doesn't look like it will thread in far enough for the rubber to make contact--or does it?

i managed to get the adapter threaded the whole way in, no problem. Now to see if it leaks :/. I forgot to put plumbers tape on the threads, but there's no chance it could vibrate free. . .just loosen.

Just use the rubber gasket. Worst case, it'll start to weep before the copper one would.
