I need to check the switch as my idle speed does not increase when the A/C is on like it should. Where is it located? Thanks Dan

If you are thinking of a throttle positioner ("idle kicker") such as American cars have, Volvo to the best of my knowledge does not use them. The Idle Air Controller adjusts the idle speed to compensate for the A/C load.

I believe the A/C micro switch is the rocker switch on the dash. This switch is phhsically (although a different color) the same as the seat heater switches, in case you want to swap one out to check. Also check the resistance and you'll be surprised - these switches vary alot.
