Jackstand location?

I have my 245 (wagon) jacked up but I can't find a place to put the jackstands in the rear. Where can they go?
Help please.
Thank you,
Oliver

Jackstand location?

Just in front of the rear wheels. Look for the pair of flanges with a short bar between them. Just like at the front. these are where you would put the jack for roadside use. The bars fit into the cup shaped "saddles" of the jack stands.

FYI, I use the pumpkin of the differential for lifting the entire rear end with my 3-ton floor jack from Sears. Gets both wheels up and the jack stands then go under the jack points just mentioned.

In the front, just behind the plastic splach shield, the crossmember there has a flat space the the floor jack saddle. Raises both front wheels.

using the handy stock jack leaves us without another place to jack///?

Same problem I have. The Volvo stock jack is actually very good and I use it over any bottle jack...but then I don't have a place to put my jackstand afterwards.

A big question if you don't have one of those roll 'em around jacks. I am using just the ordinary jack in the same place but putting two backup jackstands barely touching the frame at rear rocker and another at 'neith trailing arm crossbar next to differential. But it's not satisfactory, I figure the two jackstands will give me a little protection if for some reason that handy and sturdy Volvo jack gives way...Block your wheels too.

Good Question for those of us who don't have the bigger pump jack on wheels. (and I don't even have concrete to work on am on gravel driveway bed.

Thanks. Will the differential idea work with the volvo OE jack?
If not, i also have a hydrolic jack from my truck, would that work?
Thanks again,
Oliver
