Relays 900 1995

We have a 1995 945 Turbo. I have never had any problems with any relays, and I wonder if the problems I have read about here with the solder cracks on the Fuel Pump relay and others were fixed by the 1995 model year. If not, I guess it would be wise to replace them before they start acting up.

Besides the Fuel Pump Relay, which relays that are in that same fuse tray below the radio should be replaced? If I am going to get it out, I might as well fix all of the potential problems at once.

What other relays are there in this model that are located elsewhere that might cause problems down the road? The radio supression relay?

In general I would look at the OD relay and the Radio Suppression Relay too. I do not know if these problems were fixed in 1995 but .... I would suggest that you resolder and not replace these working relays. Therefore, who cares if Volvo fixed the problem. The fix that I propose is free! It only cost you time... ok also 5 cents worth of solder and some juice to light up the iron.

Not a bad price assuming that you dont break anything in the process.

Good luck,

Tim
