My seat reclining adjustment knob cracked and broke off. Can I easily take the one off my '86 and put on my '88 for now? How do they come off/ go on? Thanks!

That black metal "ring" in the center there is what holds the knob on.

Don't know how useful this is for you, but you never know.

In the center of the adj knob there is a circular covering plate.
THis can be removed with something thin.
THen you have acces to the shaft.

Its very straightforward
