Did I Just Overfill my Rear End? 120-130

Hi all,

I just drained and refilled the rear end on my '65 by jacking the rear enough to get underneath and it just occured to me that I may have overfilled it. Should the car be flat at time of filling?

BTW Modil 1 makes a difference, it's so smooth.

    I wouldn't worry about it -- the axle housings are vented, so any fluid that's really excess will work its way out if it needs to. Of course, it's pretty easy (although messy) to open the filler with the car on the ground and let the overage run out, if it's going to bug you.
