Shimming to correct caster/camber? 900

A good local Swedish car shop (Saab and Volvo) told me that they shim the top of the strut tower to correct caster and camber when it can't be corrected with factory adjust methods. Anybody know anything about this?

TIA!

DS

Posting repeatedly won't change the answer: NO.

well the correct answer is yes! I have a 87 740 turbo lowered 2 inches and I took it to the dealer and the simply redrilled the strut upper plat and slotted it for adjustment it reqiures to drop the strut tower and the charge was about 250 usd due to replacing the torqe arms they are made in 5 mm incriments to adjust caster. It was well worth the price.
